What is Shichi-Go-San?

Shichi-Go-San (七五三, meaning "seven-five-three") is one of Japan's most beloved traditional ceremonies. Held for children at ages 3, 5, and 7, it marks their healthy growth and gives thanks at a Shinto shrine.

The traditional date is November 15th, but families often hold their shrine visit and photo session during October–November. To avoid peak-season rush, early booking is strongly recommended.
